“Boroughlough”
Thom Henny OBE. Architect
Woven Tapestry 56cm x 173cm
1990
Commissioned for his offices in Boroughloch Square, architect Tom Henny wanted to bring the beauty and warmth of the historic sandstone buildings in to his contemporary and modern interior. The warm rich browns, pinks and orange tones of the exterior sandstone, the towering chimes of old Edinburgh are the mane theme of the design, but as the name suggests there was once a loch on the site. Small touches of blue reference the loch and add contrast to the warmth of the colour pallet.
