Re purposing materials for my art.

Taking a break form teaching over the summer to experiment with some new ideas. I have always found beauty in left over and discarded materials. There is beauty in the ordinary. Brown packing paper, the wire spiral from notebooks, plastic bailing strapping, the everyday things we throw away. How can we re recreate using these every day through away materials.

Using plastic bailing strapping and shredded cardboard boxes.

Taking inspiriting from the colours that turn up……. yellow not my usual colour pallet. Combining it with the wires of an old not book.

Fine white packing paper can be painted, gathered and held together with the plastic bailing tape. Woven structures added in to shredded cardboard boxes.

Enjoying some creative playing and exploring to see where it might take me.
